Cindy Jian is an artist and designer from California currently living in Brooklyn. She makes site specific art and paintings inspired by the people and her present surroundings that capture ephemeral moments of beauty in the everyday. Inspired by playground structures, her large-scale kinetic objects create dialogue and connection through playful and tactile seating.  Her visual art practice is a continuously evolving journey that records autobiographical and ephemeral moments of her life. Pulsating between the improvisational and the planned, the process of making is her greatest joy. Through her work, she strives to create interactive experiences that engages people in a playful way.
